Applications of Applied Behaviour Analysis
This course is designed to provide attendees with practical skills and knowledge used in the basic application of applied behaviour analysis. Attendees will learn specific strategies for teaching new skills, some of the reasons why problem behaviour occurs, how to teach appropriate replacements for problem behaviour and tracking and monitoring learner progress. Attendees will be made aware of the ethical considerations when implementing behaviour analytic strategies in their settings.
This course is suited to any professional who works with those with skill deficits or challenging behaviour. Teachers, learning support assistants, nursery practitioners, speech therapists, support workers will all benefit from attending.
Dates and Times
The course will meet one evening per week (dates to be confirmed) from 4:30-8:30pm across 10 weeks. The course is taught by one of Reach for the Stars Board Certified Behaviour Analysts.
Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Credential
This course meets the 40-hour curriculum criteria for the Registered Behaviour Technician training as outlined by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB). In order to become a certified RBT, you are required to complete a competency assessment which we can provide you at the end of this course. Please note, this competency assessment is mandatory for becoming a certified RBT and is optional if you are not pursuing certification. Additional requirements for certification include the completion of an external exam provided by the BACB (not provided by us) and on-going supervision from a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Please note, you will be required to seek external, independent supervision to meet these criteria.

The course fee is £250. If attendees which to complete the RBT competency assessment upon completion the fee will be £300.
